This year our neighborhood yard sale will be in April. Ann Rayburn is kindly organizing a neighborhood pickup of leftover items/donations to benefit The Lovelady Center. If you would like to be on the list for pickup please text Ann your address. Her number is 205.908.0859.
As the holiday season approaches, it is our natural tendency to want to help those in need. Often though, this desire gets pushed to the back burner with the stress of our own gift shopping, family gatherings, and the general stress of the holiday season. Neighborhood Management, LLC and the Board of Directors for your community would like to help you help others by hosting a food & toy drive in your neighborhood to benefit Toys for Tots and the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama. Over the past five years, we’ve collected 24,891 pounds of food and countless toy donations! We’d like to make this year bigger and better, so every donation counts!
We know the holiday season is full of joyful hustle and bustle, so in order to make donating as convenient as possible for all our neighbors, a Neighborhood Management Representative will come to the community on Thursday, December 6th to collect all donations. On this day, simply place your donation by your mailbox no later than 8:30 am. We will drive through the community to collect them that morning. Please do not place donations inside your mailbox. Also, if rain is expected on the collection day, please place your donation inside a plastic bag.
What are the most needed food items?
– Canned Tuna or Chicken, Peanut Butter and Jelly*, Cereal/Oatmeal/Grits, Dried or Canned Beans, Macaroni and Cheese, Pasta and Pasta Sauce*, Canned Vegetables, Rice
*Please avoid food in glass jars as it can easily break during transport and cause a safety hazard.
What are the most needed toy items?
– Gifts for pre-teens/teens as they are too often forgotten: sporting equipment, bags, balls, books, backpacks, board games, radio control cars/trucks, hand-held electronics, skateboards/helmets, etc.

On behalf of the local families in need, our company would like to extend a sincere thank you for all your support!
The new Pool Liner has been installed and the Pool will be Open for use no later than Friday, May 18th and we will post if it is ready earlier than the 18th. The Pool is being converted to a Salt Water Chlorination System which will create softer water and should save us on Chemical Costs Annually. Don’t worry, it is safe on your eyes and your swim suites. We do ask that you shower at the new outdoor shower by the bathrooms before swimming if you have been to the Lake or River, or been playing Basketball. We have ordered several new Chaise Lounges for the pool that should be arriving in a few weeks. We plan to have the Neighborhood Pool Party on Saturday June 16th with Inflatables, Snow Cones, Hot Dogs and Hamburgers.
It’s that time of year again and residents should have received invoices for the Annual HOA Dues, as well as a letter asking for volunteers for Members of the HOA Board of Directors. We did receive any new volunteers for the HOA Board and Thankfully the existing Board Members were willing to serve again in 2018. If you wanted to volunteer or submitted a request and we did not receive it, please let us know and we will reach out to you. There is still an open position on the Board for the Resident at Large, who is a voting member of the Board and is responsible for managing the HOA committees, so if anyone is interested in that, please let us know as well.
We are currently taking bids on replacing the liner in the Pool, so if anyone can recommend a company we would be glad to get a quote from them as well to replace the liner in the community pool. The developer, Darrell Pittard, has offered to help cover the cost of the new liner since we are not getting the new pool yet, and if that works out we will be using the money budgeted for the Pool Liner for some new patio furniture for the Pool. The Pool is expected to be open in May, so let us know if you have any recommendations soon.
The Annual Meeting for this year will be on Tuesday, April 17th at 7pm. The current President will be traveling for work and will not be able to attend, but the rest of the Board should be present as well as our new representative from Neighborhood Management, DeAnn Ranzy to go over the financials and answer any questions you may have. We should be posting an Agenda for the meeting before the meeting to let everyone know what will be discussed ahead of time, and we expect to have some local political representatives there to speak at the beginning of the meeting, but more details about that will be in the Agenda.
